Marvel Comics Papercraft: Thor

With a new Thor movie coming out later this year, it was only a matter of time before someone created a papercraft of Marvel Comics' god of thunder. This large paper model is based on a 3D model from the Marvel Ultimate Alliance video game and stands at a little over 21 inches (54 cm) tall. The designer and builder of the model is Mariano DG from imprime-recorta-pega.com. Over the past year Mariano has produced several other excellent papercraft models of Marvel Comics characters. I look forward to seeing more from him this year. A download which includes both PDF and PDO format templates for the Thor model is available here.

  1. How many parts are in this project?

I am currently working on it.

The first 10 pages are the ones to be concerned about. 1 page is for the hammer and another is for certain decorations. The rest are for the cape.

It's best to deal with this huge project in piece meal.

  3. Thanks for letting me know. I'll make it in piece meal. A little here, a little there. If you look at the whole project at once, it becomes very intimidating.

For everyone who is intimidated in doing this project, make small goals as part of the project incrementally: piece meal. That works best.
